Anti anginal Drugs

Angina pectoris is a symptoms of ischemic heart disease. It is due to an imbalance between oxygen supply and oxygen demand of the myocardium.

Types of angina:
*Classical angina
*Unstable angina
*Variant angina.

Classification of drugs:
* Nitrates and nitrites:
(Nitrates)
Nitroglycerine
Isosorbide mono and dinitrates.

(Nitrites)
Amyl nitrites.

* Calcium channel blocker:
Nefedipine, Amlodipine
Verapamin, Diltriazem

*B- blocker (beta blockers):
Propranolol
Atenolol
Metoprolol

*k+ channel opener:
Nicorandil

*Others:
Low dose of aspirin, Clopidogrel,
Trimetazidine.
